In the middle of the historic centre, this very pleasant apartment has high ceilings and tall windows overlooking the characteristic stairway of Via dei Quattro Cantoni on one side and the relaxing internal courtyard on the other side. The latter can be enjoyed from the quiet, plant-filled balcony that is accessed from the kitchen and the second bedroom.
The charming street where the apartment is located has a nice cafe, a delicious bakery, and an excellent rosticceria for delicious baked and roasted prepared foods. Walk a couple of blocks and you are in the timeless Piazza della Repubblica or Fori Imperiali.

Location
The apartment is located in the Monti district, to be precise on Via Cavour, just 2 minutes away from the metro station. The neighbourhood is world famous for numerous designer and vintage boutiques; just outside the front door of the apartment building there is a delightful old bookshop. You can stroll through the cobbled thoroughfares of downtown Rome, enjoying outdoor cafes, easy museum access due to the central location, plenty of shopping, restaurants and the best produce market, the Mercato Monti Urban Market. Everything is walking distance from the apartment; a 7-minute walk away you have the Foro Romano and Colosseo, or you can take the metro one stop. This is the Rome you see in the postcards and glossy coffee table books. The perfect location of the apartment will help you to appreciate the village atmosphere of Rome.

Exterior
The apartment is on a second floor located in a six-floor building with doorman Fernando, who speaks good English and is always happy to help. This attractive building, renovated in 2020, was built at the end of the 1800s.

Interior
From the entrance, in front of you there is the living room and to your right there is a corridor that brings you to the first bathroom with shower, WC, sink, bidet and washing machine. If you leave the bathroom, on your left at the end of the corridor you find the spacious master bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed. In the bedroom there is also a vintage table useful for writing your postcards or using your laptop. A pretty cupboard in wood and glass provides ample clothing storage space. Night stands on either side of the bed provide good reading light at night. This room overlooks the stairway of Via dei Quattro Cantoni.
The morning sun illuminates the living room, the kitchen area, the double room and the balcony. The apartment has many original Italian and South American antiques, yet the living room maintains a casual feel with a modern sofa that opens to become a queen size bed. The casual feel means you can put your feet up on the coffee table or stretch out on the sofa for a nap.
You can have relaxing meals in the open plan kitchen around the large dining table. In the morning you can stop in at the bakery that is next door to the apartment building and pick up your morning bread and pastries and maybe enjoy them on the balcony with the sun. At night, sample a glass of wine here and relax a bit before you head out to one of the many excellent neighbourhood restaurants.
The comfortable kitchen is enriched by the beautiful wooden beams on the ceiling. It has a gas stovetop, a large oven, lots of cabinet and countertop space, dishwasher, a large refrigerator with freezer, kettle and microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes and serving pieces.
From this space you can access the second bathroom, which has the same features as the other one except for the washing machine and the second bedroom that has 2 single beds (that could be together and make a queen size bed). This room has a big sliding wardrobe with plenty of space and a hotel safe. In this room there is a sizeable French door and you can access the agreeable balcony.
If you want to be right in the centre of Rome, with all the sites within a few minutes’ walk, this apartment is an excellent choice. Please note that this is a bustling neighbourhood filled with cafes, restaurants and a pub nearby. Double glazed windows and the peaceful internal courtyard ensure that this is a quiet house even if the location could sometimes be noisy.
